My abstracts are the result of lots of experimentation and a willingness to let the process lead me. I don’t know what the ultimate result is going to be when I start. Will it be a landscape? A floral? Only the original application of paint guides me. I must study it and decide what it wants to be.

These pieces clearly wanted to be florals. I started them with watercolors, working very wet and finished by applying some of the materials I used for texture in the first step as collage in the final step.
