The final paintings in the Catharsis series, “Uncommon Ground” and “Acceptance” express a sense of calm and ultimately a coming to terms with the current state. “Uncommon Ground”, while depicting a strange landscape, represents a peaceful, steady existence.

This has been a difficult journey, but ultimately, there comes a time when life makes sense again. The day does come when thoughts are light again and the future is not clouded by the heartbreak of the past. I will never forget the ones I’ve loved and lost, for they are a part of me in every sense. They exist in everything I do and all that I am and they always will.
